About

Kick Max turns Kick.com into a docked side-panel toolkit so you can keep watching while you work, browse, or chat in another tab. No content scripts on Kick.com pages — everything runs in its own side panel with its own player.

Player
• Side-panel HLS player; pop out to a window when you want more room
• Picture-in-picture, screenshot, playback speed (VODs), audio compressor
• Sleep timer, video filters (brightness/contrast/saturation/blur/etc.)
• Scrubbable VOD timeline with keyboard seek (←/→ for 5s, Shift for 30s,
  Home/End for ends, PageUp/Down for ±1 min)
• Playback time / duration display
• Configurable "keep tab awake" toggle to prevent throttling

Favorites & notifications
• Live indicator badge on the extension icon when favorites are live
• Desktop notifications when a favorite goes live, with the game/category
• Per-channel notification overrides (mute one channel without disabling
  all notifications)
• Two-way sync with the channels you already follow on Kick
• Drag-to-reorder favorites; keyboard reorder with Alt+↑/↓
• Channel cards show the current game when live, "Offline" otherwise

Multi-stream
• Watch up to 4 channels at once with audio routing — new cells auto-mute,
  click any cell to switch which one is audible
• Per-cell mute and volume controls; same overlay style as the main player

Chat
• Mention highlighting when your username appears
• 7TV emote rendering (global + per-channel sets)
• Chat keyword filter to hide messages by topic
• "Catch me up" recap panel: top topics, top emotes, activity level, hype
  spike detection, all computed locally
• "Clip Moment" badges on the live player when chat goes wild
• Resume-live pill when you scroll up; character counter near the cap

VOD downloads
• Save a VOD (or audio-only extract) to disk
• Trim by start/end time before downloading; size estimate shown
• Cancel mid-download; segments abort cleanly

Discovery
• VOD list search and channel clip browser per-channel
• Resume positions remembered for VODs you've watched before

Polish
• First-run onboarding overlay
• Settings drawer with search, reset-to-defaults, and full JSON import/export
• "What's new" changelog accessible from the version footer

PRIVACY

Everything stays on your device. The only servers Kick Max talks to are Kick.com (and its own CDNs), Kick's chat WebSocket, and the 7TV emote service. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no third-party data collection. Open source for transparency.
