About
Streaming is bloated. Netflix and Prime Video pile on thousands of titles — but most of them aren't worth your time, and figuring out which ones are means pausing to look up ratings, hunting through reviews, or just gambling on a poster. You end up spending longer choosing than watching. Binge Top TV does that filtering for you, right on the page. As you browse, it reads every title, pulls its IMDb rating, vote count, and awards, and stamps them onto the thumbnail. Then you set a quality bar — and everything that doesn't clear it is dimmed automatically, so the genuinely good stuff is the only thing that stands out. SET YOUR QUALITY BAR 🎚️ Minimum IMDb rating — dim everything below the score you care about 🗳️ Minimum number of ratings — ignore titles with too few votes to trust 🏆 Awards — keep only titles that won or were nominated for major awards Anything that doesn't meet your filters fades into the background, right on the page. No clicking, no new tabs, no lists to manage — the noise just recedes and the winners pop. WHAT YOU SEE ⭐ Rating badges on every carousel thumbnail, the video player, and hover-preview cards 🗳️ Vote counts, so you know how solid that rating actually is 🏆 A trophy marker on award winners 🎯 Weak titles dimmed the moment a filter is on PERFECT FOR • Anyone who spends longer scrolling than watching • Skipping sequels and spin-offs that quietly cratered in quality • Parents and picky viewers who want a quality floor before committing 90+ minutes • Trimming a giant watchlist down to what's actually worth it GETTING STARTED Binge Top TV needs a free API key from OMDb (The Open Movie Database) to fetch ratings — about a minute to grab one at omdbapi.com/apikey.aspx, and the popup links you straight there. Your key stays in your own browser (Chrome's built-in sync storage) and is never sent anywhere except OMDb. PRIVACY No tracking, no analytics, no accounts. The only thing sent anywhere is the title you're viewing (to OMDb, to look up its rating) plus your own API key. Full privacy policy linked below. Binge Top TV is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Netflix, Amazon, Prime Video, or IMDb.
