About

Censor anything on stream — without breaking your flow.

Pxlate is a live, on-device censor overlay for streamers and video creators. Blur a face, hide a spoiler thumbnail, redact a name, cover a score, or dim a color you don't want on stream— on any page, in real time, while
  you're recording or live.

Everything runs locally in your browser. No uploads, no accounts for the free tier, no telemetry.

✓ 100% on-device — nothing you watch ever leaves your machine
✓ No accounts, no telemetry, no remote code
✓ Works on YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, X, and anywhere else Chrome can load
✓ Censors are baked into the live page, so OBS, Streamlabs, and screen capture grab the already-censored view

  PAGE MODE — FREE
Draw and pick censors anywhere on the page.

  • Pick any element — click a thumbnail, image, video, or block of text and Pxlate locks a censor onto it.
  • Select text to redact names, titles, or messages.
  • Draw a zone — rectangle, oval, or freehand — over anything off-grid.
  • Choose a style per layer: pixelate, blur, or solid fill, with adjustable strength, color, and angle.
  • Reveal zones — keep one part of a censor visible while the rest stays hidden.
  • Every censor stays glued to its target as the page scrolls.

No account, no upgrade — Page mode is free.

  MEDIA MODE — PRO
Lock onto a video. Work on its actual pixels.

  • Lock onto a single video or image; the censor rides along through fullscreen, theater mode, and picture-in-picture, and your zones stay glued to it through every transition.
  • Eye-bar auto-tracking — a bundled, on-device face-detection model finds every face on the target and keeps a bar locked to each through fast head turns and shot changes.
  • Color masking — eye-drop a color straight from the frame, then hide every matching pixel or isolate just that color. Because Media mode reads decoded source pixels, the mask snaps to color edges, frame-accurate.
  • One target per tab — switch any time.

  PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE
  • No uploads. Every effect — pixelate, blur, eye-bars, color mask — runs locally in your browser.
  • No accounts for the free tier.
  • No telemetry, no analytics. Pxlate never phones home about pages, videos, or usage.
  • The face-detection model ships inside the extension. Nothing downloads at runtime.
  • The only network call is the Pro license check, which carries just your license key — never page data.

  PRICING
Page mode is free, forever. Pro (Media mode) is a one-time $29 unlock — no subscription, no renewal.

  GOOD TO KNOW
  • Your stream or recording captures the censored composite automatically — no delay box, no second monitor.
  • DRM-protected video (Netflix, Disney+, and similar) can't be processed — that's a browser-level restriction, not a Pxlate one
