About

Long screen sessions leave your eyes dry and sore, and you rarely notice until it is too late. EAR Coach watches for the early signs and tells you when to look away.

It measures how open your eyes are through the webcam. As you tire, your eyes sit a little more closed, and the reading drifts down. EAR Coach learns the point where that happens for you, then sends a break reminder right when you need it, not on a fixed timer that ignores how you actually feel.

It also counts your blinks. Staring at a screen drops your blink rate from about 15 a minute to as low as 5, which is what dries your eyes out. When your rate falls too far, EAR Coach flags it.

What you get:

A live eye-strain meter, from Fresh to Tired
Blink-rate tracking
Break reminders timed to your own tiring point, learned from your eyes
A guided 10-minute break built around the 20-20-20 rule
A one-page report of each session you can save as a PDF

You will need to allow camera access once. After that, click Start monitoring and work as usual.
