  HOW TO GET STARTED

  1. Create a free account at readalejandria.com
  2. Go to Settings → Chrome Extension and copy your API key
  3. Paste it in the extension popup
  4. Press Ctrl+Shift+S (⌘+Shift+S on Mac) — or just click the icon — to save

  • Articles and blog posts → full text extracted automatically
  • YouTube videos → title, description, duration
  • Reddit threads → post + top comments
  • GitHub repos → README content
  • Tweets → thread text and author
  • PDFs → saved for reading in the app
  • Any other webpage → title and URL

  WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU SAVE

  The page appears instantly in your Alejandría Inbox with the full article text, reading time, and metadata — ready to read, highlight, tag, and organize.

  From the app you can:
  • Highlight text and add notes
  • Tag and organize into folders
  • Link articles together with [[wikilinks]]
  • Export everything as clean Markdown (Obsidian-compatible)
  • Search your entire library with full-text or semantic search

  • activeTab — to read the URL of the current page
  • storage — to save your API key locally on your device
  • tabs — to access the current tab URL when the popup opens

  Your API key is stored locally in your browser using Chrome Storage. When you save a page, only the URL is sent — to your own Alejandría account, over
