About

Data Scraper extracts the rows behind any list, table, or grid on a page, then exports them with a SHA-256 capture manifest, entity extraction, and a Wayback timestamp. Built for journalists, OSINT practitioners, and researchers who need their data to hold up under scrutiny.

Built by Signal & Shadow for working investigators. No telemetry, no analytics, no third-party tracking. No host permissions.

KEY FEATURES

- Click any list, table, or grid; the panel highlights extractable rows
- Forensic capture manifest with browser, locale, timezone, viewport, redirect chain, and SHA-256 hash chain on every export
- Entity extraction for emails, phone numbers, URLs, IPv4 and IPv6, Bitcoin addresses, GPS coordinates, social handles, and ISO dates, with regex, normalisation, and validation
- Quick-look pivots from extracted entities to common OSINT lookup services, including Wayback Machine and OpenStreetMap, across infrastructure, breach data, geolocation, identity, and on-chain investigation
- Datasets group multiple scrapes under a single name with change detection across runs
- Wayback Save Page Now from the panel
- Three export formats: CSV, XLSX written from scratch with no external dependencies, and a signed chain-of-custody bundle with manifest, data, and SHA256SUMS

PRIVACY

All scrape data stays in chrome.storage.local on your machine. The Wayback Machine receives only the URLs you choose to archive, only when you click. No telemetry. No analytics. No third-party fonts or CDN assets at runtime; DM Sans and DM Mono are bundled locally with their OFL licences. No host permissions are requested.

Source available on request for journalism and academic review.

PERMISSIONS

activeTab, scripting, storage. No host permissions. Each is justified inside every export bundle's privacy block.
