Bookmarks are useful, but only if everything you need to do is on one site, which is rare. For certain tasks you need to open multiple websites. 

For example, if you want to check finances, you may open a bank website, credit card one site, and credit card two site. 

If you want to pay bills, you may open your insurance site, your water site, electric or gas site, and my mobile service site.

If I want to check sporting news, I open sites from my favorite networks, betting odds sites.
