About

The subscriptions you forgot about are the ones costing you the most.

Catchly is a privacy-first subscription tracker that runs entirely inside your browser. It quietly watches signup confirmations, checkout pages, and renewal notices on the services it supports, then keeps a running list of every recurring charge it spots. No bank connection. No required account. Your subscription data never leaves your device.

SINGLE PURPOSE

Catchly does one thing: it detects, tracks, and warns you about recurring charges — subscriptions, free trials, price hikes, and unused services — locally, on the device you installed it on.

HOW IT WORKS

Catchly runs on a small allowlist of popular subscription services across streaming, AI tools, productivity apps, news, design platforms, and storage providers. When you visit a checkout, signup, or billing page on one of those services, Catchly notices the charge and adds it to your dashboard. For anything it can't auto-detect, you can add subscriptions manually in about ten seconds.

WHAT YOU GET

A single dashboard for every recurring charge, sorted by next renewal.

Reminders before a free trial converts to paid, before a renewal hits your card, and the day a price increase appears.

A renewal calendar so the next 30 days are never a surprise.

Quick links to the cancellation page for services you no longer use — no customer-service runarounds.

Shadow-charge detection that flags services you haven't opened in over a month but are still paying for.

Multi-currency support, four visual themes, and full JSON import and export so your data stays portable.

PRIVACY

Your subscription list, usage history, and visit data live in your browser's local storage and nowhere else. There is no analytics SDK, no telemetry, no crash reporter, and no usage tracking anywhere in the codebase.

Catchly cannot run on banking, brokerage, healthcare, government, payment-processor, or authentication pages. That isn't a promise — it's enforced by Chrome at the platform level, because the extension only requests permission for the specific subscription services it supports.

Every brand logo is bundled inside the extension package. Nothing is loaded from a third-party server at runtime. No remote code, no dynamic scripts.

Every claim above is verifiable in the public source code at https://github.com/Muzeeb1998/Catchly.

THE ONE OPTIONAL OUTBOUND CALL

Catchly includes a waitlist signup for an upcoming Gmail auto-scan feature. If you choose to type your email and click "Notify me," that email is sent to a server endpoint so we can contact you when the feature launches. That signup is the only outbound network call Catchly makes. Skip the field and the extension makes zero outbound calls during normal use.

WHAT CATCHLY DOES NOT DO

Does not connect to your bank or any financial account.
Does not read your inbox or email content.
Does not require an account, password, or sign-up to function.
Does not sync your subscription data to any server.
Does not track you across sites.
Does not contain analytics, telemetry, or error reporting.
Does not execute remote code or load scripts at runtime.

PRICING

Free. There is no trial that converts to paid. There is no feature locked behind a paywall.

ROADMAP

The launch version covers manual and auto-detected tracking, renewal warnings, price-hike alerts, free-trial countdowns, shadow-charge detection, a renewal calendar, monthly and yearly spend insights, and one-click cancellation links.

Coming next: Gmail auto-scan, a cancellation copilot for the most common services, and family-plan splitting. Every future feature will follow the same rule — local-first, no data sold, no bank login required.
