About

TabSweep is a Chrome side panel that uses AI to triage your open tabs into intent-based groups so you can act on them in bulk.

**How it works**

Open the side panel from the TabSweep icon. It shows how many tabs you have open across every Chrome window. Hit "Sweep these tabs" and Claude reads the title and URL of every open tab (no page content, ever) and returns 3–7 named groups by intent — for example "Active work," "Reference / docs," "Shopping," "Stale / forgotten." Each group becomes a card. From any card you can:

• Click a tab title to focus it
• Click × on a tab to close it
• Hit "Close N" to close every tab in the group
• Hit "Group in Chrome" to push the group into a native Chrome tab group with a color and label

A separate panel at the top flags literal-duplicate URLs so you can dedupe before triaging.

**Why a side panel**

Browser popups close the moment you click outside them and they're size-capped. The side panel stays open while you click between Chrome windows checking which tabs actually matter, so triage is a conversation with your tab list instead of a single instant decision.

**What's sent to the AI**

Only titles and URLs of your normal browser tabs. Internal Chrome pages (chrome://, chrome-extension://, devtools://, about:, view-source:) are filtered out before the model ever sees them. No page contents, no browsing history beyond what's currently open, no favicons, no per-tab metadata, no analytics on individual tabs.

**Free demo, daily quota**

The hosted version is a free demo backed by MagicLink, a Cloudflare Worker that proxies Claude with a small per-visitor daily quota (tracked by hashed IP, no account, no signup). When you hit the cap, the extension links you to the GitHub repo with instructions for forking and plugging in your own AI key for unlimited use.

**Open source**
