About
Every time a new AI model launches — Claude Fable, the next GPT, whatever's announced this week — LinkedIn instantly fills with the same low-effort takes: "🧵 10 things [new model] changes about prompt engineering forever…" "Here's why [model] means the end of [job]…" …from people who read the announcement ten minutes ago. It drowns out everything actually worth reading. NoAiSlop lets you mute that noise without leaving LinkedIn. Type the words you're tired of (claude, fable, ai), and any post mentioning them gets covered with a translucent NO AI SLOP stamp. The post is still there — peek through it or dismiss the stamp anytime — it's just not shouting at you. And it's temporary by design: set it to stay active only until, say, tomorrow afternoon. Once a launch's hype cycle dies down, NoAiSlop quietly turns itself off, so you're never permanently filtering your feed. - Keyword blocking — comma-separated, case-insensitive, whole-word (so ai won't trip on "email" or "again", but still catches "AI", "Claude's", etc.). - Translucent & dismissible — the post stays in place behind a faint veil; an × reveals any individual post. - Auto-expiry — pick an Active until date/time in your local timezone; blocking switches itself off when it passes. Leave it blank to block with no end date. - Master on/off toggle — pause everything instantly. - Resilient detection — finds posts by their content and stable ARIA roles, not LinkedIn's hashed, per-build CSS class names (which change constantly). - Private by default — everything runs locally. No network calls, no analytics, no account. Settings live in chrome.storage.local, and the script only runs on *.linkedin.com.
