About

ContextPack lets you create reusable context blocks that auto-attach to every prompt you send on AI chatbot sites. Set your role, preferences, and instructions once — they apply to every conversation automatically.

THE PROBLEM

Every time you start a new AI conversation, you re-type the same context: your role, your coding style, your output preferences, your project details. It wastes time and leads to inconsistent results when you forget something.

THE SOLUTION

Create context packs — reusable blocks of instructions. Toggle them on, and they automatically prepend to every prompt you type. No more re-typing. No more forgetting.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Create a context pack with a name and your instructions
2. Assign it to a category (Role, Style, Project, or Custom)
3. Toggle it on
4. Type your prompt as usual — the active context is automatically attached before sending

STACK MULTIPLE PACKS

Enable several packs at once to layer your context. For example, turn on your Developer role pack, your Concise Output style pack, and your current Project pack simultaneously. They combine in order with a configurable separator.

STARTER PACKS INCLUDED

ContextPack comes with 4 ready-to-use packs to get you started:

Developer — Sets the context for clean, well-structured code with modern best practices
Writer — Establishes preferences for clear, concise prose without filler
Concise Output — Instructs the AI to keep responses short and use bullet points
Step by Step — Requests numbered steps with explanations for each

You can edit these or create your own from scratch.

CONFIGURABLE SETTINGS

Placement — Choose whether context goes before (prepend) or after (append) your prompt
Separator — Pick from horizontal rule, double newline, separator line, or a context end tag
Auto-apply — Toggle whether context is automatically attached on Enter or applied manually
Floating indicator — Show or hide the badge on AI sites that displays your active pack count

CATEGORIES

Organize packs into categories for quick management:
Role — Who you are (developer, writer, analyst, marketer)
Style — How you want responses (concise, detailed, step-by-step, formatted)
Project — Current project context (tech stack, codebase conventions, requirements)
Custom — Anything else you need

Create your own categories in the settings page.

IN-PAGE OVERLAY

Press Alt+X on any supported AI chatbot site to open the context pack overlay. Browse your packs, toggle them on or off, and see which ones are active — all without leaving the page.

FLOATING INDICATOR

A small badge appears in the corner of AI chatbot sites showing how many packs are currently active. Click it to open the overlay. You can hide it in settings.

IMPORT AND EXPORT

Export all your packs and categories as a JSON file for backup. Import packs from a JSON file to restore them or share your setup with others.

CROSS-DEVICE SYNC

Your packs sync automatically across all devices where you are signed into Chrome. No account setup, no servers — Chrome handles it.
