Some videos are just too quiet — lecture recordings, conference calls, low-budget films, or clips recorded far from the microphone. Browsers cap video volume at 100%, which often isn't enough.

Safest Volume Booster fixes that. It uses the Web Audio API to amplify the audio of any HTML5 video on the page, letting you boost the volume up to 10x its normal level — directly from a simple popup, with a live slider and one-click presets.

Safest Volume Booster is built with the absolute minimum permissions needed to function. It does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, browsing history, or analytics. All processing happens locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. The only data stored is your chosen volume level and on/off preference, saved locally via the standard Chrome storage API so your settings persist between sessions.
