About
Your GitHub pull request inbox, right in the Chrome toolbar. Sorted into the views you actually use, refreshed quietly in the background, and built on the GitHub session you already have. No personal access tokens. No OAuth app. No extra sign-in step. WHAT PULLWATCH IS Pullwatch is a read-only Chrome extension for developers who review and ship pull requests on GitHub. It keeps the PRs that matter visible without leaving a github.com tab open all day. Click the toolbar icon for a compact dashboard. Optional desktop alerts tell you when something new needs your attention. WHO IT IS FOR Engineers with assigned reviews waiting in the queue. Authors tracking open PRs across repos, including changes requested, approved, pending, and draft work. Anyone who wants a quick read on recent merges without digging through email or GitHub notifications. YOUR THREE-TAB PR INBOX To Review shows pending reviews first, then PRs you already reviewed, so nothing disappears the moment you click approve. Authored gathers your open pull requests by review state: changes requested, approved, pending, and draft. Merged puts recently shipped work in one place when you want a fast sense of what landed. A badge on the extension icon shows how many reviews are still pending, the same count that drives the To Review tab. STAYS CURRENT WITHOUT A GITHUB TAB A background service worker refreshes your lists about every three minutes. It pauses when you go offline and backs off politely when GitHub rate-limits requests. Open the popup anytime for an instant view from the last sync, or tap refresh when you want an update on demand. NOTIFICATIONS YOU CONTROL Desktop alerts and sounds for assigned reviews and merged PRs. Turn each category on or off in settings. The Authored tab is for visibility only, with no toasts. Draft alerts for assigned PRs stay off by default. FAST, POLISHED POPUP Lists appear immediately when you open the popup because data is read from local storage first. Choose from 35 built-in themes. Relative timestamps, status badges on authored PRs, and a manual refresh control in the header keep the UI clear and quick. BUILT FOR REAL GITHUB PAGES Pullwatch reads the same signed-in HTML your browser would show at github.com/pulls. A three-stage parser handles both GitHub’s newer and legacy list layouts. Parser patterns can be updated from a small public config file, so DOM fixes do not always require a new extension release. WHEN GITHUB HAS TROUBLE If GitHub returns an error or its public status page reports a Pull Requests incident, Pullwatch keeps your last-known lists and shows a clear banner instead of wiping your inbox. HOW IT WORKS Sign in to GitHub in Chrome as you normally would. Pullwatch’s service worker fetches your pulls list HTML using your existing browser session, the same cookie-based access you already have. No tokens to create, rotate, or leak. It parses that HTML locally and saves the result in chrome.storage.local on your device. The popup reads from that storage and does not call GitHub directly. Pullwatch never posts, comments, merges, closes, or labels anything. Read-only by design. PRIVACY AND TRUST No analytics, no ads, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no servers run by the extension author. PR lists and operational data stay on your device. Appearance and notification preferences may sync via Chrome Sync if you use it. Network access is limited to github.com for your PR data, avatars.githubusercontent.com for author images, a public parser config file on raw.githubusercontent.com, and githubstatus.com for anonymous outage checks. The project is open source under the MIT license. You can read exactly what it does. WHY PULLWATCH Most GitHub notifiers want API tokens or OAuth permissions on your account. Pullwatch deliberately does not. It is a focused pull request inbox for people who already work in Chrome with GitHub signed in: lightweight, transparent, and easy to verify. Install Pullwatch, pin it to your toolbar, and keep your review queue one click away.
