About

Volt Live is a companion for the Volt web app (voltstreaming.xyz). Volt's live TV
channels come from an IPTV panel that is HTTP-only, and a secure HTTPS page cannot
load HTTP video (browser "mixed content" rules). This extension bridges that gap: it
fetches the stream the Volt page asks for, in its own background context, and hands
the bytes to the page to play. The page itself never makes an insecure request.

Why it's needed
• The stream is HTTP-only; the Volt app is HTTPS — browsers block that combination.
• The extension fetches the stream and relays the bytes, so playback works while the
  app stays fully HTTPS.

Privacy-first
• Stores no credentials — the Volt app supplies stream URLs at runtime.
• Runs only on the Volt app; does not read your other tabs or your browsing.
• No analytics, no tracking, no data sent to anyone.
• Broad site access is an OPTIONAL permission you grant from the popup on first use,
  and can revoke anytime.
