About

Tab Manager saves all your open browser tabs as clean, readable markdown files — perfect for developers, researchers, and anyone who keeps too many tabs open.

⭐ Features

• One-click save — Capture every open tab across all windows instantly
• Markdown format — Sessions saved as .md files with YAML frontmatter, easy to grep, search, and version control
• Reopen sessions — Restore any saved session with a single click
• Search — Find tabs across all saved sessions by title or URL
• Session management — View, reopen, download, or delete saved sessions
• Organized by window — Tabs are grouped by browser window in the saved file

📁 How It Works

1. Click the Tab Manager icon in your toolbar
2. Click "Save All Tabs" to capture your current session
3. A markdown file is saved to your Downloads folder
4. Use the popup to search, reopen, or manage past sessions

Sessions are saved as `tab-session-YYYY-MM-DD-HHmm.md` with this format:

  ---
  id: session_1710612345678
  timestamp: 2026-03-16T17:25:45.678Z
  windowCount: 2
  tabCount: 12
  ---
  # Tab Session — 2026-03-16 17:25
  ## Window 1 (5 tabs)
  - [Page Title](https://example.com)

🔒 Privacy First

• All data stays on your device — nothing is sent to any server
• No analytics, tracking, or telemetry
• No account required
• Tab URLs and titles are stored locally only

🛠 For Developers

The markdown format is CLI-friendly:
  grep -r "github.com" ~/Downloads/tab-session-*.md

Perfect for integrating with your existing notes, wikis, or knowledge management tools.
