Deep Reading Assistant is an English reading helper designed for Chinese-speaking learners.
When you select an English sentence or paragraph on a webpage, the extension opens a Chrome side panel and provides structured explanations to help you understand the original text more deeply, not just translate it.
Key features:
Vocabulary and phrase explanations: Understand important words, phrases, and usage.
Grammar structure analysis: Break down sentence patterns, grammar points, and expression logic.
Idioms and cultural references: Explain metaphors, fixed expressions, cultural references, and historical context.
Cultural background: Add relevant context about people, organizations, events, or media when needed.
Reading history: Save recent analysis results locally for later review.
Temporary highlight: Select a word or phrase inside the extension’s explanation panel to quickly highlight matching text.
Privacy note:
The selected text is sent to the API provider configured by the user in the extension settings in order to generate analysis results. Reading history is stored locally in the browser via chrome.storage.local, with up to 100 records retained. The extension does not upload your history to a developer-operated server. Please avoid selecting sensitive content such as passwords, API keys, private messages, personal information, or internal company materials.

隐私说明：
插件会将你划选的文本发送到你在设置中配置的 API 服务商，用于生成解析结果。历史记录保存在浏览器本机的 chrome.storage.local 中，最多保留 100 条。插件不会将历史记录上传到开发者自建服务器。请不要划选密码、密钥、私密聊天、个人身份信息或公司内部资料等敏感内容。
