  What they do is build a Gmail filter that hides future emails. The sender keeps emailing you. Your address keeps getting sold. You just stop seeing the mail in your inbox.
  
  Mailbreak reads the List-Unsubscribe header — every commercial mailing list is required to include one — and fires the unsubscribe via RFC 8058 POST, mailto, or HTTPS link, whichever the sender exposes. The sender stops sending.

  Privacy:
  Your email content never leaves your device. The Gmail API request only fetches headers — message bodies aren't read during a scan. The local cache (sender list, history, audit log) is encrypted with AES-256 and the key lives in chrome.storage.session, which Chrome wipes on browser close. No Mailbreak server ever sees a message.
