If you've ever needed to send a spreadsheet's values (not its formulas) to another tool, you know the usual routine: download from Google Sheets as XLSX, open it in Excel, save as CSV to strip the formulas, then re-save that CSV back to XLSX. It's slow, it mangles accented characters, and it leaves you juggling files. Decant replaces all of it with a single button.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open any Google Sheet.
2. Click the Decant icon and confirm.
3. A clean .xlsx lands in your Downloads — named after the sheet, with a date-and-time stamp so nothing overwrites.

- Flattens formulas to their values — the downstream file contains plain data, no live formulas.
- Preserves accents and special characters perfectly (é, ñ, ü, ç, and more) — no more garbled text from a CSV round-trip.
- Removes hyperlinks and comments for a clean, lightweight result.
- Trims trailing empty rows to the real data bounds.
- Recompresses the file so it's smaller than what you'd get by hand.

PRIVACY
Decant runs entirely on your computer. Your spreadsheet goes straight from Google to your own Downloads folder — nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere. The extension collects no data whatsoever.
