About

PromptBeaver — The Claude Code Prompt Generator

*(also works with ChatGPT & Gemini)*

Reduce token usage, speed up coding sessions, and stop AI from getting lost in your repo. SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY

Hey yall,

I wanted to share a Chrome extension I’ve been building called **PromptBeaver*. Basically, it takes badly written coding prompts (run-on sentences, giant paragraphs, chaotic late-night thoughts, etc.) and turns them into clean, token-efficient prompts for Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini.

The important part: **it’s NOT an AI wrapper.**
It doesn’t replace Claude Code or another AI model — it helps you get way better results from the ones you already use.

In my comparison tests using larger coding/refactor tasks:

* raw Claude Code sessions used around **22k tokens**
* PromptBeaver optimized sessions dropped closer to **13.5k**
* averaging about **39–40% less token usage**

The funny part is PromptBeaver sometimes makes the *initial* prompt longer 😭
But the overall coding session becomes much shorter and cleaner because the AI wastes less time:

* scanning random files
* asking clarification questions
* rewriting unrelated code
* getting confused halfway through

Right now it’s especially good for:

* large refactors
* feature additions
* messy architecture prompts
* “don’t break my existing app” tasks
* chaotic coding ideas at 2am

The goal was basically:
**make AI code smarter instead of harder.**

I’d genuinely appreciate if some of yall tried it out and gave feedback. I’m also considering eventually turning it into a full website/platform, but right now I’m focused on making the extension as useful as possible.
