About

SenseUI is an AI-powered Chrome extension that helps blind and visually impaired developers understand and improve the visual design of their web projects.
Get instant accessibility and design insights to understand and make visual changes in your websites.

This is the initial public release. We welcome feedback and bug reports on the GitHub repository.

WHY USE SENSEUI?

Building visually appealing, accessible websites is challenging when you can't see the design. SenseUI bridges this gap by:

• Providing detailed visual descriptions of your webpages
• Identifying design issues from critical accessibility problems to minor visual inconsistencies
• Offering framework-specific recommendations aligned with your design goals
• Analyzing layout, colors, typography, spacing, and overall aesthetics

WHO IS THIS FOR?

SenseUI is designed specifically for blind and visually impaired developers who:
• Want to ensure their websites look professional and polished
• Need to catch visual design issues before deployment
• Work with design teams and need to understand visual feedback
• Want to improve their CSS and layout skills with AI guidance

KEY FEATURES

🤖 AI-Powered Analysis
Choose between OpenAI (GPT-4o family) or Google Gemini models. The AI analyzes your page's HTML, CSS, and screenshot together to provide accurate, context-aware feedback.

📋 Quick Commands
• /describe - Get a comprehensive visual description
• /issues - Identify accessibility and design problems
• /refresh - Update page analysis
• /clear - Start a new conversation

💼 Project Context
Create projects with your framework, aesthetic goals, and website purpose. Get recommendations tailored to React, Vue, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or whatever technologies you're using.

📸 Flexible Screenshots
Choose viewport-only capture for focused analysis or full-page capture for complete overview.

♿ Accessibility First
Built with screen reader users in mind. Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, keyboard navigation, and skip links throughout.

🔒 Privacy Focused
• No data collection - everything stays in your browser
• API keys are encrypted locally
• Direct communication with your chosen AI provider
• No tracking or analytics
• Open source on GitHub
