About
# AutoFlick — Chrome Web Store listing ## Name AutoFlick ## Category Productivity (or Entertainment) ## Short description (≤ 132 characters) Auto-advances YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels — when a clip ends, the next one plays. No tapping, no tracking. ## Detailed description **Lean back and keep watching.** AutoFlick turns your short-form feeds into a continuous, hands-free playlist. The native feeds either loop the same clip forever or wait for you to swipe — AutoFlick watches the active video and triggers the platform's own "next" action the moment playback finishes, so the feed just keeps going. **Works where you watch** - ▶ YouTube Shorts — advances on /shorts/ pages and stops clips from looping - ▶ TikTok — scrolls the next feed item into view when the video ends - ▶ Instagram Reels — clicks the native "next Reel" control on /reels pages **Your feeds, your rules** - One switch per site in a clean toolbar popup - Turn auto-advance on or off for each platform independently - Changes apply to open tabs instantly — no restart needed - Your settings are remembered and stay in sync across tabs **Private by design** - No tracking, no analytics, no remote calls of any kind - Requests a single permission — `storage` — used only to remember your on/off toggles - Runs entirely in your own browser; nothing leaves your device - Activates only on the relevant pages and cleans up after itself when turned off AutoFlick automates the same actions you'd take by hand. Use it for personal convenience, at your own discretion. ## How it works (for reviewers) Each supported site has a small content script that watches the currently visible video and invokes the platform's native way of moving to the next clip (an ArrowDown key event for Shorts, a scroll for TikTok, the next-Reel button for Instagram). A shared runtime reads your saved preferences from `chrome.storage.local`, starts/stops each module accordingly, and watches for single-page-app navigation so modules activate and deactivate as you move between pages. ## Permission justification - **storage** — persists the three per-site on/off toggles so your preferences are remembered between sessions and shared between the popup and the content scripts. No other permissions are requested; the extension makes no network requests. --- ## Store asset checklist | Asset | Required size | File | | --- | --- | --- | | Screenshot 1 (hero) | 1280×800 | `screenshot-1-hero-1280x800.png` | | Screenshot 2 (per-site toggles) | 1280×800 | `screenshot-2-per-site-toggles-1280x800.png` | | Screenshot 3 (how it works) | 1280×800 | `screenshot-3-how-it-works-1280x800.png` | | Screenshot 4 (platforms) | 1280×800 | `screenshot-4-platforms-1280x800.png` | | Screenshot 5 (privacy) | 1280×800 | `screenshot-5-privacy-1280x800.png` | | Small promo tile | 440×280 | `promo-tile-440x280.png` | | Marquee promo tile | 1400×560 | `promo-marquee-1400x560.png` | The source HTML/CSS used to render these assets lives in `media/source/`.
