YouMuse — Mini Player for YouTube Music

About

YouMuse is a Chrome extension that adds a mini-player and control panel for YouTube Music (music.youtube.com).

Use it from your toolbar while you work in other tabs—no separate login and no replacement for YouTube Music itself. YouMuse connects to your open YouTube Music tab and controls playback through that session.

WHAT'S FREE

• Toolbar popup: see the current track, album art, play/pause, skip, seek, volume, shuffle, repeat, and like
• Picture-in-Picture: open a floating mini-player while YouTube Music is playing (requires an active YouTube Music tab)
• Search: find tracks from the popup (uses your YouTube Music session)
• Keyboard shortcuts: play/pause, next track, and previous track (configurable in chrome://extensions/shortcuts)
• Themes: Muse Dark and Muse Light

YOUMUSE PRO (OPTIONAL)

Pro is an optional paid upgrade ($9–$49/year, pay what you want). After checkout you receive a license key by email—paste it in extension settings to unlock:

• Live queue view with skip-to-track
• Sleep timer (auto-pause after 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes)
• Command palette: press Ctrl+Shift+M (Windows/Linux) or ⌘+Shift+M (Mac) to control playback from any tab
• Seven additional themes: Midnight Glass, Cherry Neon, Aurora, Nebula 2026, Work Mode, Focus Mode, and YouTube

Checkout and subscription management are handled on youmuse.site. Pro is not required for basic playback controls.

HOW TO START

1. Pin YouMuse to your Chrome toolbar
2. Open music.youtube.com and start playing music
3. Click the YouMuse icon to control playback

PRIVACY

• No Google sign-in through YouMuse—you use your existing YouTube Music browser session
• Playback state is handled locally in your browser
• Pro activation sends only your license key and a device identifier to youmuse.site for validation (see our privacy policy)
