About

Text to Voice turns any webpage into an audio experience. Click Play and the extension reads the page's main content aloud while highlighting each word in real time so you can follow along effortlessly.

How it works Open the extension popup and press Play. The extension automatically finds the article or main content on the page — skipping menus, headers, footers, and sidebars — and begins reading. Each word is highlighted in yellow as it is spoken, and the page scrolls to keep up with the reader.

Want to read just a specific section? Select any text on the page before pressing Play, and only that selection will be read.

Privacy Text to Voice uses only Chrome's built-in Web Speech API. No text is sent to any external server. No personal data is collected or stored.
