About

BCC Safe is the silent guardrail that stops one of email's most expensive mistakes: hitting Reply All on a thread where you were BCC'd, and outing yourself to everyone in the To/Cc line.

If you've ever been BCC'd by your boss, your lawyer, or a customer, you know the feeling. One careless click, one keyboard shortcut, one Smart Reply chip — and a private heads-up becomes a public one.

BCC Safe makes that mistake impossible.

WHAT IT DOES
• Adds a small "BCC'd — Reply All blocked" badge to every Gmail thread where you're a BCC recipient, so you always know where you stand.
• Removes "Reply all" from Gmail's 3-dot overflow menu on those threads.
• Removes the "Reply all" action button from the bottom of those threads.
• Strips Reply All out of Smart Reply and the chip row at the bottom of the message.
• Intercepts Gmail's "a" keyboard shortcut, which normally opens a Reply All draft — no draft, no exposure. A small toast confirms the block.
• Plain Reply still works exactly as Gmail intends. Forward still works.

HOW IT WORKS
BCC Safe runs entirely in your browser on mail.google.com. It reads the page to figure out whether you're a BCC recipient on the thread you're viewing, and then quietly removes the Reply All entry points until you leave that thread.

PRIVACY
• No accounts, no sign-in, no servers.
• No tracking, no analytics, no ads.
• No data ever leaves your machine.
• Zero permissions in the manifest beyond access to mail.google.com (the page the extension runs on).
• Open and inspectable: everything happens in a single content script.

WHO IT'S FOR
• Executives and assistants forwarded onto sensitive threads.
• Lawyers, agents, and advisors who get BCC'd into client conversations.
• Anyone who has ever woken up at 3 a.m. wondering whether they hit Reply All by accident.

One badge. Zero exposure.
