• Automatically compares your "following" list against your followers list

This extension has no servers. No database. No backend.

All processing happens exclusively in your browser, on your computer:

✅ Your data stays on your device — it never leaves it

The extension only communicates with instagram.com — the same domain you already access normally — using your own authenticated session.

⚡ BUILT-IN ACCOUNT PROTECTION

Instagram monitors automated actions and may temporarily restrict accounts that unfollow too many people too quickly. Followcheck has built-in rate limiting to protect you:

• Maximum 5 unfollows per 2-minute window
• Maximum 100 unfollows per day
• Remaining unfollow count displayed in the interface

🚀 HOW TO USE

1. Log in to Instagram (instagram.com) in your browser
2. Click the Followcheck icon in your extensions bar
3. Click "Load lists"
4. Wait for loading to complete (may take a few seconds for large accounts)
5. See who doesn't follow you back and unfollow if you wish

📋 PERMISSIONS USED

• Cookies (instagram.com): verify you are authenticated and include security headers in requests
• Local storage: save your preferences and the last computed list on your device
• Tabs: locate the Instagram tab for internal extension communication
• Content scripts: display the extension interface as an overlay on Instagram
