About
Family Site Blocker is a lightweight browser extension that keeps kids away from inappropriate websites by blocking pages based on keywords in the URL. It comes preloaded with common adult-content terms, and lets you add your own (gambling sites, specific apps, anything else you want off-limits). Settings are protected by a parent password, so kids can't just turn it off — and if you ever forget the password, a security question lets you reset it without losing your keyword list. An age-range toggle (Under 10 / 10–12 / 13–15 / 16+) applies broader or narrower presets depending on your child's age, adding categories like gambling, dating apps, and graphic content on top of the adult-content baseline. It works entirely locally — no data leaves the computer, no account required — and applies across every browser tab automatically.
