About
DDL Anonymizer helps developers, DBAs, consultants, and support engineers sanitize database DDL before sharing it outside a trusted environment. Paste your database DDL into the extension and generate a safer anonymized version with private-looking names, internal identifiers, comments, sample values, and sensitive metadata replaced with neutral alternatives. It is designed for situations where you need to share schema structure without exposing internal business names, customer references, project names, emails, phone numbers, IDs, addresses, or other sensitive information. Key features: • Anonymize schema, table, column, index, constraint, sequence, trigger, view, and procedure names • Preserve valid DDL structure while replacing sensitive identifiers • Deterministic anonymization so repeated names stay consistent • Detect private-looking names and sensitive metadata • Anonymize comments, string literals, and sample INSERT values • Before/after output for easier review • Useful for Oracle DDL and complex database scripts • No account required • Free to use Common use cases: • Sharing DDL with vendor support • Preparing examples for AI tools • Posting sanitized SQL on forums • Creating safe bug reports • Sending database structure to consultants • Removing internal naming conventions from sample scripts • Preparing anonymized DDL for documentation or testing Privacy: DDL Anonymizer is built with privacy in mind. The extension is intended to process DDL locally in your browser and does not require an account. Please review the anonymized output before sharing it externally. No automated anonymization tool can guarantee that every sensitive value has been removed from every possible script. Optional donations: DDL Anonymizer is free to use. Optional Bitcoin donations may be provided to support development, but donations are not required and do not unlock additional features.
