Mnemo — Local Search for Your AI Conversations

Mnemo helps you save, organize, and search your conversations from supported AI chat platforms.

It stores captured conversation text locally on your own device, so you can find previous answers, decisions, and discussions without relying only on each platform’s chat history.

✦ Automatic conversation capture

Mnemo can capture text conversations from supported AI chat platforms while you use them. Captured conversations are saved in a local database on your device.

ChatGPT — chatgpt.com
Claude — claude.ai
Gemini — gemini.google.com

✦ Historical backfill

Already have years of AI chat history? Mnemo includes a crawl feature that can help capture older conversations from your visible chat history or sidebar on supported platforms.

You can choose the crawl speed — Slow, Normal, or Fast — based on your connection and comfort level. Mnemo processes conversations in batches and includes rate-limit handling.

Use the Captures tab to search your locally stored conversation database by keyword.

Search works across conversations Mnemo has captured, including older sessions, so you can find useful past discussions more easily.

✦ Project and session organization

Mnemo groups captured sessions by provider and project where available.

ChatGPT Projects and Claude Projects are supported where the platform interface makes them accessible to the extension.

✦ Manage captured sessions

The Clean tab lets you review captured sessions and delete items from Mnemo’s local database.

Where a supported provider page is open and accessible, Mnemo may also attempt to help remove the corresponding conversation from that provider’s interface. Provider-side deletion depends on the platform’s current UI and may not always succeed.

Sessions that could not be reached during capture are tracked separately so you can retry or dismiss them.

✦ Export your data

You can export your Mnemo database as a .sqlite file from the Storage section.

This allows you to back up your data, inspect it with a SQLite viewer, or move it to another device.

Mnemo captures text conversations only.

When a file or image is uploaded inside a supported AI chat, Mnemo records limited attachment metadata such as file name and file type where available. It does not store the actual uploaded file or image content.

The AI response text is captured as part of the conversation. The original attachment content is not captured.

Full attachment capture may be considered in a future release.

Mnemo is designed to keep your conversation data local.

Your captured chat content, conversation titles, and browsing activity are not sent to Mnemo’s servers.

Mnemo sends one anonymous usage ping approximately once per month to help maintain the extension. This ping contains only limited aggregate technical information:

Random install ID
Extension version
Total number of captured sessions
Local database size

The ping does not include conversation content, conversation titles, URLs, account details, personal information, or browsing history.

The random install ID is not linked to your identity or any AI platform account.

Mnemo also includes an optional link to feedback form. This only sends data when you choose to submit feedback via web URL.

If you uninstall the extension, the local extension database is removed by the browser along with the extension data.

Mnemo is free to use.

There is no subscription, trial period, or paid upgrade requirement.

Mnemo does not access any other websites or any other browsing activity.
