About

VoiceMux Bridge lets you use your phone's voice typing on desktop websites. Speak on your smartphone, and the recognized text appears directly in the active text field on your PC browser.

Key Features:
 - Text-Only Transfer: Use your phone's built-in speech-to-text and send only recognized text to your PC. VoiceMux Bridge does not transmit microphone audio.
 - Direct Browser Input: Insert dictated text into the active field on websites such as ChatGPT, Gmail, Notion, and other web apps on this PC.
 - Simple Pairing: Open the extension, choose Connect Phone, and scan the QR code with your smartphone.
 - Local Decryption: Encrypted text is decrypted inside the extension on this device before insertion.
 - Open Source: The extension code is public on GitHub.
 - Optional Companion Surface: VoiceMuxHub is available when you want to proofread recognized text, but normal text insertion does not require it.

Security & Privacy:
 - The extension handles only recognized text and does not capture or process audio input directly.
 - Audio data is not transmitted by the extension.
 - Input is applied only to the field actively selected by the user.

Get Started:
 1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store and pin VoiceMux Bridge to your toolbar.
 2. Open the extension and connect your phone by scanning the QR code.
 3. Reload the page where you want to type, or open the text field in a newly loaded tab.
 4. Click the text field on your PC browser.
 5. Speak into your phone to enter text.
