Next3D Model Viewer is a lightweight Chrome extension for creators, developers, designers, and 3D asset teams who regularly encounter 3D model links across documentation, GitHub repositories, marketplaces, CDNs, and shared project pages.

Instead of copying a model URL, opening a separate viewer, and pasting the link manually, the extension scans the current page for supported 3D model links and opens them directly in the Next3D online viewer.

How it works

Open a webpage that contains links to 3D model files, click the Next3D extension icon, and choose a detected model. The extension opens a new tab at:

https://next3d.ai/viewer?url=<model-url>

If the current page itself is a direct model URL, the popup shows an Open this model action.

Runtime constraints

The extension does not proxy, upload, or transform model files. A model URL must be publicly reachable by the browser and readable by the Next3D viewer. If a source website blocks cross-origin access or requires private authentication, the viewer may not be able to load that model.
