**Frosted blurs the cringe on your LinkedIn feed.** Humble-brags, engagement bait, hustle-culture posturing, performative struggle, manufactured wisdom. Frosted catches them and blurs them in real time, so you can actually use LinkedIn for work again. Click any blurred post to reveal it. You're in control.

**What gets blurred**

- "Humbled to announce..." career announcements that double as flexes
- "Read that again." / "Stop scrolling." / "Tag someone who needs to hear this." engagement bait
- "5 things I learned from getting fired" manufactured wisdom posts
- "While you were sleeping I was grinding" hustle-culture posts
- "I'll be honest..." faux-vulnerability openers
- Clap-emoji-between-every-word posts like this one
- 134 patterns total, and growing.

**How it works**

Two layers, both running entirely on your device:

1. **Pattern matching.** 134 rules check every post the moment it loads in your feed. Strong matches blur immediately. No AI, no network, no delay.
2. **On-device AI (when available).** Borderline posts get a second opinion from Gemini Nano, Chrome's built-in AI model. Runs locally on your machine. If your hardware doesn't support Gemini Nano, borderline posts blur on pattern score alone.

A sensitivity slider (Low / Medium / High) lets you tune how aggressive the filter is.

**Privacy**

Frosted makes zero network requests. No server, no API, no analytics, no account. Post content is processed locally and never transmitted by Frosted to anyone. The extension stores your settings and session stats in your browser's local storage. AI classification uses Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano, which runs on-device. Gemini Nano's internal behavior is governed by Google's privacy practices for Chrome's built-in AI features.

**What Frosted doesn't do**

- Doesn't block or hide posts. Only blurs them. Click to reveal anything.
- Doesn't modify LinkedIn's algorithm, API, or your activity on LinkedIn.
- Doesn't scrape or collect post content.
- Doesn't filter sponsored or promoted posts. Those are excluded by design.
- Doesn't work outside the LinkedIn web feed.

**Languages**

English and Hebrew. Hebrew-native cringe archetypes are covered by dedicated patterns.

**Beta**

Frosted is in early beta. New cringe patterns are added regularly based on real-world usage. If you spot a false positive (clean post got blurred) or false negative (cringe post got through), the feedback buttons help us improve the filter. All feedback stays on your device until you choose to share it.
