Heckle — show and tell for the web Heckle turns your feedback into rich, replayable recordings that developers (and AI agents) can actually act on. Instead of writing tickets, annotating screenshots, or typing up reproduction steps — just browse the site, talk about what you see, and point at the elements that matter. Heckle captures everything: the full DOM, every state change, your voice, and the exact elements you highlighted. HOW IT WORKS 1. Browse naturally — open any site with the Heckle side panel active. Use the app like you normally would. 2. Talk and point — say what's wrong out loud. Shift-click to highlight the exact element you mean. 3. Share one link — your recording becomes a rich, replayable artifact. Share it with your team or hand it to an AI coding agent. WHAT GETS CAPTURED - Full DOM snapshots — not a video, a faithful reconstruction of the page. Scroll, inspect, and query elements after the recording ends. - Voice transcription — talk, don't type. Your words are transcribed and synced to the timeline. - Element highlights — shift-click to pin the exact element you mean. CSS selectors and DOM context are preserved. - Screenshots — each highlight gets a screenshot of the visible page for quick visual reference. - Navigation tracking — page changes during your recording are captured automatically. BUILT FOR AGENTS Every recording gets a unique link (e.g. heckle.it/happy-slugs-drive) that works the same for humans and machines. Share it with your AI coding agent and it can: - Read the transcript with timestamps - Reconstruct the DOM at any moment in the recording - Run CSS queries against the page state - See the HTML and ancestor chain of every highlighted element One link, full context — no plugins, no special setup. WHO IT'S FOR - Designers — point at the actual live UI instead of annotating screenshots that go stale. - Product managers — turn a five-minute walkthrough into a recording richer than any ticket. - Engineers — never struggle to reproduce an issue from a vague description again.
