It's free, no signup required, and works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and any Chromium browser.

What it does
- Runs a full AI-readiness scan on the active tab's URL
- Returns a score out of 100, a letter grade (A+ to F), and an AI-readiness level
- Lists the most impactful failing checks so you know exactly what to fix
- Links to the full report on aiscan.site with every check explained
- Works on any public webpage — landing pages, docs, dashboards, blogs, ecommerce sites

The 5 AI-readiness levels
1. Hostile — actively blocks agents
2. Indifferent — agents can reach it but the experience is poor
3. Discoverable — basic SEO and metadata are present
4. Interactive — structured data, clean semantic HTML, predictable endpoints
5. Agent-Native — robots.txt AI directives, llms.txt, JSON-LD, clean APIs

What it checks
- Crawlability — robots.txt, AI-bot directives, sitemap.xml, canonical URLs
- Discoverability — title, meta description, Open Graph, Twitter cards, favicon
- Structured data — JSON-LD schema, microdata, Article/Product/Organization
- AI-native signals — llms.txt, llms-full.txt, /.well-known/ai-plugin.json, MCP
- Performance — HTML response time, content-type, valid HTTPS
- Agent ergonomics — semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, text-to-markup ratio
- Anti-agent friction — aggressive bot-blocking, JS-only rendering, dark patterns

1. Pin the AIScan icon to your toolbar
2. Browse to any website
3. Click the icon
4. Read the score, the grade, the level, and the top 3 fixes
5. Click "View full report" for the complete breakdown on aiscan.site

Free vs. signed-in
- Anonymous (no signup): 5 scans per minute per IP. Full results.
- Signed in: scan history saved to your account.
- With an API key: higher rate limits; the same key works with the public REST API and MCP endpoint.

Privacy
- Only the URL of the active tab is sent to aiscan.site — never page contents, cookies, history, or form data.
- No third-party trackers. No advertising. No selling data.
- Your API key (if you have one) is stored locally via chrome.storage.local and sent only to aiscan.site.
