Netflix Subtitle Switch lets you change subtitle languages instantly while watching — no pause, no menu, no interruption. Just tap a key and the subtitles change on screen, right where you are.

⇄ C — Toggle between your primary and secondary language. Press once for Chinese, press again for English. Back and forth, one key.

👁 V — Hold to peek. Can't catch a line? Hold V and the subtitles switch to your other language. Let go and they switch right back. Your eyes never leave the screen.

Unlike other extensions that pause the video and pop open Netflix's subtitle menu, this extension calls the player's internal API directly. The switch happens in under 100ms with zero UI interruption.

CONFIGURE EVERYTHING

• Set any two languages as your primary and secondary pair — English/Chinese, Japanese/Korean, Spanish/French, whatever you need
• Rebind the toggle and hold keys to any key you prefer
• Assign up to 4 languages to number keys (1–4) for instant direct access — great for multilingual viewers or language learners comparing across languages

HOW IT WORKS

Install → open any Netflix title with subtitles → press your key. A small toast notification confirms the switch. Settings are accessible from the extension icon in your toolbar.

PRIVACY

All configuration is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. No data is collected, transmitted, or shared. The extension only runs on netflix.com and has no access to any other site.

REQUIREMENTS

• A Netflix subscription with subtitle tracks available in your desired languages
• Chrome 116 or later (for Manifest V3 MAIN world support)
