  See the melody of Japanese — not just word-by-word accent, but how a whole sentence rises and falls.
  
  Hold Shift and hover over any Japanese text in your browser, and Yokuyo shows its pitch accent contour: the continuous high/low movement across the entire phrase, including how accent phrases connect and where downstep happens. This is the sentence-level intonation a pitch-accent dictionary can't show you.
  
  It uses the same Shift+hover gesture as popup dictionaries, so it sits naturally beside them — including Yomitan — with both panels appearing together.

  ⚠️ REQUIRES THE FREE YOKUYO DESKTOP APP (WINDOWS)
  This extension is a companion to the Yokuyo desktop application. The desktop app must be installed and running on your computer — it does the analysis and synthesis locally. The extension on its own cannot generate pitch data.

  PRIVACY
  Yokuyo collects no data and uses no remote servers. The text you hover is processed only by the Yokuyo app running on your own machine.
