Capptivo is a screen recorder built for people who explain software for a living — product managers shipping async updates, founders recording walkthroughs, support teams answering the same question twice, anyone who’s tired of sending a wall of text when a two-minute video would do.

Click the extension icon to open the recorder. Pick what to capture: your full screen, a single window, or a browser tab. Turn the microphone on when you want narration. While you record, you can draw and highlight directly on the page so your cursor and markup end up in the video, not in a separate tool you forgot to open.

Keyboard shortcuts are there when you need them: Alt+Shift+R to open the recorder, Alt+Shift+P to pause, Alt+Shift+S to stop. (You can change these in Chrome’s extension shortcuts settings.)

When you stop, Capptivo sends the recording to your account and opens the editor on capptivo.com. That’s where the polish happens:
- cursor-following zoom
- trimming on a timeline
- custom backgrounds
- hiding browser chrome
- subtitles from speech
- exports in widescreen, square, or vertical, one edit, several formats for Slack, LinkedIn, or a product changelog.
