About

This extension is part of the Wingback AI Security platform. It is designed for organizations that want visibility into how employees use web-based AI assistant services in the browser, and the ability to apply organization-defined policies such as monitoring, warnings, or restrictions.

What it does

When deployed by your organization, the extension can:

Detect when supported AI web applications are opened in the browser
Record usage activity according to your organization’s policy (for example: site visits, submitted prompts, and received responses — only when your administrator enables those options)
Display in-page notices or apply restrictions when your organization’s policy requires it
Send activity securely to your organization’s Wingback deployment for review in the Wingback admin console
The extension does not provide standalone consumer features. It does not send data anywhere until your administrator enrolls the device with a valid organization configuration.

Who should install this

Employees at companies that use Wingback AI Security
Devices managed by IT through Chrome browser management or enterprise policy
If you installed this without instructions from your IT or security team, it will remain inactive until configured.

How to use it

Your administrator creates an enrollment token in the Wingback admin console.
Your administrator deploys configuration to your browser using Chrome enterprise managed storage (recommended for production) or provides manual setup instructions for a pilot.
Required settings are supplied by your administrator:
Organization endpoint URL
Enrollment token
Organization identifier
After enrollment, the extension registers the browser as a managed endpoint and begins operating according to your organization’s policy.
No day-to-day action is required from most users unless your organization’s policy shows a warning or blocks an action.
For help, contact your internal IT or security team — not through the Chrome Web Store listing.
