About

Quick RPO & VIN Decoder

Put the most-used features of decoderpo.com one click away. Type a VIN or a list of RPO codes into the popup, pick what you want, and the result opens on decoderpo.com in a new tab.

What it does

Four actions from the popup:

• Decode RPO — paste a 17-character VIN or one or more RPO codes (space- or comma-separated). The site auto-detects VINs and shows the full RPO build sheet with descriptions for each code.

• Get Axle Ratio — looks up the axle ratio and transmission RPO codes for a VIN, pre-filtered so you only see what you came for.

• Get Window Sticker — fetches the original factory window sticker PDF for vehicles, with NHTSA-derived vehicle info alongside.

• Get Mobile Decoder App — opens the iPhone / Android companion app landing page.

What's an RPO code?

RPO (Regular Production Option) codes are short alphanumeric codes — usually three characters like G80, AG2, or NP5 — printed on a GM vehicle's build sheet, RPO sticker, SPID label, or QR-code option label. Each code identifies a factory-installed option, package, or production detail. The decoder reads both individual codes and full VINs.

Who it's for

• Owners verifying factory equipment on a used vehicle
• Mechanics looking up axle ratios, transmission codes, or option packages before ordering parts
• Sellers and buyers comparing trim packages
• Enthusiasts decoding their own car's full build sheet
• Anyone who's been handed an RPO sticker and wondered what the codes mean

Privacy

The extension itself does not collect, store, or transmit any data. The VIN or codes you type are passed as a URL parameter to decoderpo.com only when you click an action button — same as if you had typed them into the site directly. No accounts, no tracking, no permissions beyond opening a new browser tab.
