About

AI4DebateRoles helps you run structured, role-based debates using two parallel browser tabs on the same public chat product.

Choose your provider (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini), write a debate objective and optional rules, then start on Chat-1. The extension opens or uses your chat tab, fills the message box, and sends the prompt. When the assistant finishes replying, capture that reply and forward it to Chat-2—either manually with one click or automatically until you stop automatic mode. Turns keep alternating between the two tabs so each side stays in character.

What you get
• Two-tab orchestration on one provider: both chats stay on the same site you selected.
• Manual mode: you control when each reply is forwarded.
• Automatic mode: each finished assistant reply is forwarded to the other tab until you end the run.
• Approximate word guidance per reply (soft limit for the model) and optional file context (.txt / .md).
• Unified transcript export as Markdown or plain text (the raw chat UI alone does not show both sides in one thread).

What this extension does not do
• It does not call AI APIs or act as a proxy; you use ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini in your normal logged-in session.
• It does not collect debate text on a developer server; flow state and transcript data are stored locally in the browser (Chrome storage).

• Sign in to the provider you pick before starting a run.
• Keep both chat tabs on the supported domain while the debate is active.
