HOW IT CATCHES FAKE REVIEWS

Most review checkers only analyze reviews on the retailer's own page — which is exactly what fake review sellers manipulate. ReviewLens uses two layers of detection:

LAYER 1 — 7 On-Platform Detection Signals:

Rating Distribution — Genuine products follow a natural pattern. A wall of 5-star reviews with almost no critical ratings is a classic manipulation sign.

Review Burst Detection — A sudden spike of dozens of reviews in one week is statistically abnormal. Real products accumulate reviews gradually.

Verified Purchase Ratio — Reviews from accounts that never bought the product carry little credibility. A high proportion of unverified reviews is a red flag.

Text Quality Analysis — Review farms produce short, vague reviews like "Great product! Love it!" with no specifics. ReviewLens measures this.

Sentiment-Rating Mismatch — If the review text says "terrible, broke after two days" but the rating is 5 stars, something is wrong. We catch that.

Duplicate Review Detection — Copy-paste reviews or near-identical wording across multiple reviews signals coordinated manipulation.

Temporal Decay — Recent review patterns carry more weight than old ones, so the score always reflects current product quality.

    details. We measure this.

LAYER 2 — Reddit cross-referencing (our key differentiator):

the product — outside the retailer's controlled environment — and analyse
