About

Skipper automatically skips supported sponsor segments, self-promotions, intros, and outros in YouTube videos when segment data is available.

HOW IT WORKS

Skipper sources segment timestamps from:

• SponsorBlock — a free, community-maintained database covering millions of videos. Works without sign-in or setup.

• Gemini AI (optional) — for videos not yet covered by the community database, signed-in users with YouTube's built-in "Ask about this video" feature can request AI-powered analysis.

When playback reaches a detected segment, Skipper automatically jumps past it and displays a brief notification with an Undo option. Detected segments are also displayed as markers on the video progress bar.

LIMITATIONS

• SponsorBlock lookups use a privacy-preserving hashed video identifier.
• No watch history or personally identifying information is collected.
