About
Protect API keys, tokens, passwords, database URLs, private keys, and personal data while recording demos, sharing your screen, or presenting live. PixelHush works in two modes: Manual mode lets you hide or reveal sensitive data on the current page at any time. Automatic mode works with the PixelHush macOS desktop app and requires PixelHush Pro or an active trial. When a supported recording or screen-sharing app is detected, protection turns on automatically. When recording stops, protection turns off automatically. How it works PixelHush scans visible page text, form fields, textareas, and elements that match sensitive selectors. It also watches dynamic DOM updates and programmatic input changes, so protection keeps working in modern web apps and dashboards. What gets protected API keys, access tokens, passwords, and secret-looking values Database URLs and connection strings Private keys Emails, IP addresses, SSNs, and credit card numbers Custom selectors and regex patterns you define Customize it Edit detection rules in the popup, save your own JSON config, or import and export configs for different workflows. Privacy PixelHush processes page content locally in your browser. It does not send page content or detected secrets to any server. Automatic mode communicates only with the local PixelHush desktop app over localhost. Part of the PixelHush workspace Pair PixelHush with the macOS desktop app and the VS Code / Cursor extension to protect both websites and editor files during recordings.
