About

GitHub Explainer & Tutorials helps you understand GitHub projects faster by adding useful context directly to repository pages.

When you open a supported repository on GitHub, the extension adds two kinds of content:

1. An enhanced introduction near the project overview, so you can quickly understand what the project is about.
2. A chapter preview above the README, so you can immediately start reading a guided explanation instead of searching through external documentation.

This is useful when:

- You discover a repository for the first time and want to know what it does without spending time digging through files.
- A project has a large README, complex setup steps, or unfamiliar terminology.
- You want a faster path from “I found this repo” to “I understand how to use it.”

Why install it:

- It adds context where you already work: directly on GitHub.
- It reduces the time needed to evaluate and learn a project.
- It gives you a guided entry point before you decide whether to read the full tutorial.
- It keeps the original GitHub page intact and only shows extra content when preview data is available.

Core features:

- Adds repository introductions to supported GitHub project pages
- Shows a chapter preview above the README
- Lets you open the full tutorial in a new tab
- Supports multiple interface languages
- Adapts to GitHub light and dark themes

If you often browse open-source repositories, evaluate tools, or learn from GitHub projects, this extension gives you a clearer and faster starting point.
