You can convert local images or webpage images into PNG, JPG, or WebP without uploading them to an external server. The extension is designed for quick image format changes, simple editing, and browser-based workflows.

How it works:
1. Open the extension popup to convert local image files.
2. Choose an output format such as PNG, JPG, or WebP.
3. Convert one or more images and download the results.
4. Right-click a webpage image to quickly save it in another format.
5. Open the editor when you need crop, resize, rotate, or flip tools.
6. Use the side panel for drag-and-drop image conversion while browsing.

Privacy-friendly processing:
- Images are processed locally in your browser using Canvas APIs.
- The extension does not upload your images to an external server.
- The extension does not collect browsing history.
- The extension does not monitor webpages in the background.
- The extension stores only simple preferences, such as default format and image quality.
- Downloads happen only after you start a conversion.

Permission usage:
The extension uses site access only to fetch webpage images that you explicitly select through the image context menu or side panel drag-and-drop. This access is needed so the selected image can be converted locally in the browser. The extension does not collect page content, track browsing activity, or send selected images to a server.

Notes:
- Animated GIF and animated WebP files are converted as static first-frame images.
- Very large images may be downscaled to protect browser memory.
- Some remote images may fail to convert if the source website blocks image access.
- Output quality can vary depending on the selected format and browser image encoding support.
