  - The extension has no persistent host permissions.
  - The extension does not call the YTDownloader backend until you choose Open in YTDownloader.
  - Opening YTDownloader sends the current YouTube URL to the web app.

  Use this tool only with your own videos, licensed videos, public-domain videos, or videos you are allowed to save. YTDownloader Companion is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.

  YT Notes Companion helps you keep a small local note card for the current YouTube video. After you open the extension from a video page, it can detect the visible video title, build a clean reference link, copy the title, copy your notes, and copy a note card that combines the title, link, and notes. Notes are stored in chrome.storage.local in the user's browser. The extension does not save video or audio files, does not extract captions, does not save thumbnails, does not call a backend, and does not open external processing services. YT Notes Companion is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
