TruLens — Review Genuineness shows you, at a glance, how trustworthy the reviews on a Google Maps place actually are.

Instant on-device badges on every review As soon as you open the Reviews tab for a place on Google Maps, TruLens scores every visible review and attaches a colored shield badge directly beside it:

🟢 Likely genuine (score 70–100)
🟡 Mixed signals (score 40–69)
🔴 Likely fake (score 0–39)
Each badge also shows a 0–100 score and a 5-star equivalent. Tap any badge to see the full signal breakdown that drove the verdict.

Trust summary panel & popup An on-page panel and the toolbar popup both display an overall trust gauge, a plain-language verdict ("Mostly genuine", "Treat with caution", etc.), and a breakdown of how many reviews fall into each category.

Free shared AI tier (no key needed) TruLens ships with a built-in free shared-AI tier. When the extension owner has deployed the included AWS Lambda proxy, AI deep analysis works out of the box with no API key required — subject to a daily rate limit.

Bring your own key for unlimited analysis Switch to "My own key" mode in Settings and enter your own MiniMax or Anthropic API key for unlimited AI deep analysis. Your key is stored only in your browser's local extension storage and is sent only to the provider you chose — never to TruLens.

Completely private by design The heuristic scoring engine runs 100% inside your browser. No data, review text, page content, or browsing history is ever sent anywhere for the local scoring. When AI analysis is enabled, the reviewed text goes from your browser to your chosen AI provider (BYOK) or to the owner's AWS Lambda proxy (free tier) — TruLens has no analytics server and never sees your data. The proxy does not store review text; it only records a per-user daily request counter for rate-limiting.

Places are remembered — revisits are instant TruLens remembers every place you've visited. On a return visit, cached scores appear immediately; only new reviews are re-scanned.
