About

BugReplay Recorder captures your browser session — clicks, inputs, network calls, DOM mutations, and console errors — into a single portable .replay file you can attach to a GitHub issue or Slack message.

Your teammate opens the file in the built-in Replayer and watches exactly what you did, frame by frame. No account required to replay. No upload. No server.

WHAT IT CAPTURES
- Mouse clicks with element selectors and coordinates
- Keyboard input (passwords auto-redacted)
- All XHR and fetch requests with status codes
- DOM mutations via MutationObserver
- console.log, console.warn, console.error output
- Uncaught JavaScript errors and unhandled promise rejections
- Full visual DOM snapshot for replay

HOW IT WORKS
1. Click the extension and press Start Recording
2. Reproduce the bug on any webpage
3. Press Stop & Export — a .replay file downloads
4. Attach it to a GitHub issue or Slack message
5. Teammate opens the Replayer and presses Play

WHY NOT A SAAS DASHBOARD
Every other session recorder is a cloud dashboard built for analytics on user sessions. BugReplay is built for one thing: a developer sharing a specific bug with a specific teammate as a file. No infrastructure. No subscription. No accounts.

PRIVACY
Zero network requests — the extension never contacts any server. All data stays on your device until you share the file. Passwords and sensitive fields are automatically redacted. Fully open source — every line auditable on GitHub.
