About

Overview:
Calendar Event Generator creates standard iCalendar event data from a compact toolbar popup. It is built for quickly preparing meeting files, reminders, attendees, recurring events, and QR codes without opening a website.

Key features:
- Title: Set the event title that appears as the calendar summary.
- Start: Create timed or all-day events using the browser's local time.
- Repeat: Add daily, weekly, monthly, or annual recurrence rules.
- Reminder, minutes: Include a VALARM reminder before the event starts.
- Attendees: Add comma-separated attendee email addresses to the ICS payload.
- Copy ICS: Copy the generated ICS text for pasting into another workflow.
- Download .ics: Download a standard .ics file for Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, and other calendar clients.
- QR code: Show a QR code while the generated event payload is small enough for practical scanning.

How to use:
1. Open Calendar Event Generator from the browser toolbar.
2. Enter the event title, time range, location, and notes.
3. Choose all-day mode, recurrence, reminder, organizer, and attendees when needed.
4. Copy the ICS text, download the .ics file, or save the QR image.

Important notes:
QR codes are intentionally hidden for large event payloads because long iCalendar text becomes difficult to scan reliably. The .ics download remains available for larger events, descriptions, and attendee lists.

Privacy:
The extension generates event data locally in the popup and stores only the current draft in browser localStorage. It does not request host permissions, does not require an account, and does not upload event titles, locations, descriptions, attendees, or generated files to external servers.

Additional capabilities:
- Open in calendar: Open Google Calendar, Yandex Calendar, Outlook, or Yahoo Calendar with the generated event details after a user click.
