Great answers start with great prompts. Promptello turns a rough, plain-English idea — a question, an email, a plan, a piece of code — into a clear, well-structured "master prompt" you can paste into any AI chat. No prompt-engineering knowledge required.

It lives in your browser's side panel, right next to where you already use AI. Describe what you want however roughly, and Promptello assembles a structured prompt using proven frameworks — then drops it straight into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity with one click.

Promptello opens in "Everyday Assistant" mode by default, so it's useful from the first second whether you're writing an email, planning a trip, drafting a report, doing research, or shipping a feature. Pick from focused modes when you want them — Writing, Marketing, Email, Product, Research, Customer Support, Tutoring, and a strong Vibe Coding / Dev mode for builders.

• Basic view: a clean idea → enhance → send path. Nothing to learn.
• Advanced view: context attachments, guided refinement, framework details, and a built-in test suite — there when you want depth, hidden when you don't. Your choice is remembered.

Promptello is built privacy-first:

• No account. No sign-up. No tracking.
• Your ideas, captured pages, and history are stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) — not on our servers, because we don't have any.
• Optional on-device AI: when Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano is available, the "Quick Enhance" polish runs entirely on your device. When it isn't, Promptello falls back to local, rule-based assembly. Either way, nothing is sent to a third-party server by the extension.
• Page capture is opt-in and per-site: Promptello only reads a page when you click "Capture page," and asks for access to that site at that moment — no standing access to your browsing.

Most prompt helpers are a black box. Promptello shows its work:

• A live preview of the exact prompt that will be sent — fully editable before you use it.

• Per-source usage readout: when you capture a page, Promptello tells you exactly how many characters of it actually made it into the prompt, so nothing is silently dropped.
