About

PLC Hex Float Decoder helps automation engineers, maintenance technicians and SCADA support teams decode raw hexadecimal register values directly in the browser.

Paste a register dump, read selected text, scan the visible page or decode clipboard content after an explicit click. The extension normalizes noisy hex formats and compares common industrial byte orders such as big endian, little endian, Modbus word swap and register byte swap.

It supports:
- Float32 IEEE-754
- Float64 IEEE-754
- 16-bit register views
- 32-bit signed and unsigned integer views
- batch decoding
- local CSV, JSON and text reports
- temporary page highlights

Privacy and safety:
- no account
- no server
- no API request
- no broad website permission
- no remote code
- no stored decoded dumps by default

Important: this tool decodes bytes. It does not confirm equipment safety, sensor calibration, engineering units, alarm state or proprietary protocol semantics.
